    Shot during the summer 2013 in the Mojave Desert, Plans Make Gods Laugh aims to reflect on the life-course of musician and producer Alain Johannes, from its native Chile to the United States. In this film portrait, Alain Johannes plays the only character, wandering through desert landscapes and abandoned sites. He recalls his life, in voice-over, reflecting his first exposure to music, his arrival in L.A., his lost great love, his own musical groups, and his experience with the American musical mainstream. Soundtrack by Hifiklub and Alain Johannes, recorded with Joey Castillo, Dave Catching, Jack Irons, Mario Lalli.
